Entrepreneurs Association of Slovakia (the official abbreviation "EAS") is the first private business interest association of the Slovak Republic established after the "Velvet Revolution" in November 1989. EAS after 1989 became a crucial private business community, who in 1989 practically did not exist in Slovakia.
Entrepreneurs Association of Slovakia was established in December 1989. EAS is from 01.03.1993 member of the European Confederation of associations of small and medium enterprises based in Brussels. EAS is a founding member of the organization, which covers employers' associations, the Republic Union of Employers, which represents about 350 000 employing people and producing about 70% of GDP in Slovakia.
Entrepreneurs Association of Slovakia in its operation specializing focuses on fundamental issues of creating and guaranteeing adequate business environment. The substantive issues are EAS prepared to negotiate with any political entity that has a real interest in supporting the private sector.
Entrepreneurs Association of Slovakia, throughout its existence, is non-profit organization carrying on its activities exclusively from membership fees and donations, domestic and foreign natural and legal persons.
